Serrano ham from the mountainous regions of Spain and Iberico hams from the oak woodlands of the plains are becoming ever more popular, both available with bone in or boneless or ready sliced.
Proscuitto, Parma ham and San Danielle from Italy - again available bone in, boneless or ready sliced are still very popular, and so is Carmarthen ham from West Wales and Cumbrian hams and salamis from North West England.
Blackforest hams from Germany and Bayonne ham from France makes up our range of air cured hams.
Salamis, Saucisson and pancetta from Italy, France and Germany, and chorizos from Spain are complemented by salamis from Wales and England.
Dry cooked ham, roast beef and pork, salt beef and pastrami are all produced locally but the tapas and Bresola are of course imported.
We stock a huge range of meat and game terrines either in 1.5 or 1.6 kilo turn out tubs, the most popular of which is our mixed game terrine, or the extremely competitively priced 1 kilo loaf shape. These are easy to cut and portion control and are ideal for both the smaller user and large functions alike. If frozen they have up to a two week shelf life chilled from defrost.
Some fresh speciality terrines from Rougie are very popular especially around Christmas time foremost of which is the Pheasant terrine with girolle, goose terrine with mustard and the duck terrine with with chestnuts - and don't forget the foie gras terrines, both duck and goose!!
More locally are the range of terrines we stock from Caerphilly - handmade and simply delicious such as the Ham hock and parsley roulade and chicken liver terrine with Penderyn Whiskey.
The layered vegetable terrine is a firm favourite as a vegetarian offering and a pressed mixed seafood terrine or the salmon, dill and lobster terrine is a must for the fish starter.
Along with the individual pate starters from Devon the small batch production of pates from North Wales completes our terrine offering - the most popular of which is the Brandy & Herb chicken liver base or the Stilton & Pear as a vegetarian option - check out our complimenting range of biscuits and breads as well!!
