We were proud to see the Oylmpic Flame pass us today, on a beautiful afternoon in Blaenavon. After travelling through nearby Monmouth and Abergavenny - it stopped at the nearby Big Pit Mining Museum, before it made the journey onwards towards Pontypool and finally Cardiff - complete with it's entourage of nearly 350 people and dozens of vehicles, it was an amazing sight to behold!

The Chef's Room at Vin Sullivan in Blaenavon has a wide array of courses for both the home cook or the professional chef looking to try something different.
Recent courses include.. Pasta & Italian cookery with The legendary Franco Taruschio, curing with food writer Lindy Wildsmith, Anglo-French cookery with Claudine Boulstridge, Bakery with Tina Moss, and canapés and cocktails with Rachel Haworth. This year and next is very important for Vin Sullivan's staff.
Now fewer than seven staff members will be celebrating either 20 or
25 years service with the company and indeed the entire staff have a
combined total of an incredible 350years!
First to receive their presentations were Kelly and Sandra from our accounts department.
Sandra, who has served 20years as head of our sales ledger, is a
keen Formula 1 fan and looking forward to this years season.
Kelly, who is head of our purchase ledger department, has been with the company for now 26 years, but as she was away most of last year, her presentation was postponed until this year.
